The Customize screen lets you control your Internet, Fashion Trip feature, and update settings. To customize your settings, click the buttons or select (or clear) the option buttons.
The screen is divided into 4 categories: Internet Settings, Mall Settings, Sound Settings, and Address Book Settings. The screen also has a button that takes you to the Update Manager, where you can control the new stores sent over the Internet and manage the space Fashion Trip uses on your computer.
Like other Fashion Trip screens, this one contains the back and help buttons. Click back to return to the previous screen. Click help for more information.
Click Connect to connect to the Internet.
Click Disconnect to disconnect from the Internet.
In this are you specify what method to use to connect to the Internet. You can connect three different ways: ISP (Internet Service Provider), AOL (America Online), or Direct Internet Connection (such as Cable Modem or ISDN).
The Mall settings allow you to optimize the 3D performance for navigating through the Mall.
If your machine is a Pentium II 300 MHz or below, select the Standard button.
If your machine is a Pentium II 350 MHz or above, select the Showcase button. This allows you to experience true 3D navigation when you "walk" through the virtual Mall.
Select the Use Hardware Acceleration if Possible check box if you select Showcase (we recommend this).
If your system does not have hardware acceleration, you can trade off the visual quality vs. performance by selecting one of three option buttons:
Good -- Fast
- Better -- Medium
- Best -- Slow
